ZICO Law is honoured to have been featured in IFLR1000’s Firms to Watch 2018, a special edition supplement which highlights global law firms that have developed and distinguished themselves as market leaders within the legal industry. Out of a pool of thousands of law firms researched by IFLR1000’s team, less than 45 were selected to be featured on this list with ZICO Law being the only legal network in South East Asia to be highlighted.
Citing ZICO Law’s presence in all 10 ASEAN Countries as a key factor in their selection, the supplement also noted ZICO Law’s continued involvement in the some of the region’s biggest and most novel transactions which included advising Maybank on its inaugural issuance of renminbi bonds, advising Alibaba Group on the establishment of its first electronic world trade platform outside of China and Cathay Financial Holdings’ ongoing acquisition of Bank of Nova Scotia.
IFLR1000 also added that, “ZICO Law became the only law firm network with offices in all 10 ASEAN countries last year when it added member firms in Brunei and the Philippines. Widening the network’s reach will make it a good proposition when pitching for mandates – particularly for clients with a regional focus – and should enable it to secure some interesting work.”
Firms listed in IFLR1000’s inaugural Firms to Watch 2018 supplement were chosen for their willingness to adopt new and innovative client services and internal programmes and for successfully breaking into new markets and gaining in market share of interesting transactional work.
